Ship 1 x 58m super yacht mast

Reason:

Mondiale VGL were tasked to ship 1x58metre super-yacht mast, New Zealand Door to Finland Door.

Challenge:

Extremely limited freight options due to the cargo length. The mast was too long to transfer between Zeebrugge BNFW fruit terminal & Zeebrugge RORO terminal via road.

Project Overview

  • Mondiale VGL successfully negotiated prime Reefer space from Tauranga to Zeebrugge on a fruit ship through NZ's peak fruit season.
  • A transfer to truck with extendable trailer for RORO Zeebrugge to Pietarsaari and final movement to door.
  • Mondiale VGL arranged a barge for direct transfer alongside the fruit ship
  • A short voyage to the RORO terminal where cranes transferred a final time between barge and extendable trailer.

Project Result

  • Mondiale VGL safely delivered the 58m super-yacht mast, New Zealand Door to Finland Door within 45-days total.
  • The barge and truck transfer operations were executed in perfect time, resulting in zero additional costs from the initial freight estimate to our VIP client.
  • We continue to ship masts & booms ranging between 15m-64m regularly
