USA to NZ – ORIGIN PORT CONGESTION INCREASE

We have been advised by our USA agents that congestion at the ports, container terminals | depots and rail yards are continuing to have a major impact on the supply chain. The reasons are multifaceted including shortages of longshoremen, shortage of truck power, vessel berthing delays, equipment shortages, increases in dwell time and limitations in drayage providers ability to turn equipment.

All these factors and others are extending across operations creating additional costs to move cargo through the system.

In order to recover the increased costs and continue to deliver the highest level of service possible, our agents are increasing the Origin Port Congestion effective 30th January 2022 to below levels ;

Origin Port Congestion Surcharge:

  • Portland | Seattle US$ 30.00 per wm
  • All other USA origins US$ 20.00 per wm
